Got an email this morning from one of my favorite supplements stores. Up to $40 off of a purchase of $300 or more, $10 off $99 or more. It may sound hi, but trust me it’s not hard to spent $100 or more in supplements, stocking up like I do is always a great idea.

It’s funny seeing so many guys lifting who never appear to increase their strength. There are many reasons, over training, not having proper nutrition, simply genetics, your workout routine itself, etc. At my gym for instance dumb bells only go up to 100 pounds, so for many of us we could use them to be a bit bigger. I see many guys using the 100 pound dumb bells for back rows, which would be fine except they have been using the same 100 pound dumb bells for months. With no larger weight to go to they stay stuck in the same routine and consequently the same strength/size.
I have maxed those 100 pound dumb bells out on many movements myself, back rows, bench presses, shrugs, etc. One sure fire way however to make these lower weight dumb bells still effective is as simply as changing your workout routine. One method is simply to start lifting in an incline position for movements such as dumb bell presses or back rows. I’ve done this myself and am very, very pleased with the results. I still work the 100 pounders in for standard rows, but I can wear myself out with the incline rows with lighter weights before moving to the 100 pounders on standard back rows.
Basic concept, been out there for a long time, to many however refuse to change their workout routines up!

I wish it were this easy, free diet pills, take them and lose weight. WTF, and here I am busting my ass lifting weights and watching what I eat :p
I guess it’s true you can lose weight by taking diet pills alone, but come on you will not be getting the exercise that your body needs! If you’re lazy then I guess take some diet pills, and do nothing. Best thing though IMO is a proper diet, exercise and yes a diet pill added to the mix.
Is bugging me again. The only thing I can think of is that the one supplement I take ‘cissus’ helped the injury as it was feeling fine/better. I then cycled off most of my supplements including the cissus for a bit. Well the shoulder injury started to come back, I am taking cissus again and will see if it helps this time. I hope like hell it does, I am sick of being hurt!

I don’t know why, my morning workout yesterday I almost passed out. I went into the gym as normal, started my workout and just felt off. I was going to do shoulders, after a few sets I felt super weak and figured I’d do back instead. Thinking my chest workout from the day before might have made my tri’s and shoulders a bit worn down, back would be a better muscle group to work.
I did a few sets, nothing extreme. I quickly felt worse and worse, no power, feeling very ill, to a point I was literally dizzy, hard to see, breath and more. Normally I would just bite down that much harder and keep working, I however could feel this time was one of those times I’d do more damage than good. Drove home, got some rest and went back later that night. At night I finished my workout, no problems thank god. No idea what happened, hoping it’s just one of those things…

Not talking personal, nor business. Talking of course my lifting, taking a week off last week from being sick and still recovering this week made it a very hard week for lifting. I had no energy, no drive, ambition, I am still sniffling, left over congestion, etc. I still lifted every day, I’m so sore it hurts to sit or stand. My legs are just wrecked from my Wensday leg workout, squats did me in. Usually I do not get this sore from workouts, however taking the week off and still recovering from being sick equals my body being run down and unable to recover like it should. Maybe I should have taken another week off, I would have had less pain, I am however glad to deal with the pain and welcome it over losing my drive to reach my goals.

My lower back is real fng sore today! I did barbell rows and deadlifts yesterday, combined with a few dumb bell lower back movements. Haven’t done deadlifts in a month or more, always hits the lower back so well the first time
Today was leg day, on squats ‘which works the lower back’ I had to change my form a bit to even do them. Trying to take the stress off my lower back while doing them safely. I managed, I conquered and now I’m sore as hell..:p

Dragged my ass back into the gym this morning. I’m still real worn down from being sick, I don’t notice it to much until I start to lift. I feel drained almost immediately, it’s hard to even hold onto the dumbbells/barbell/etc even when I’m doing well under my normal weights. My workout was not the greatest, but I am happy that I still dragged my sorry ass into the gym. Today was back day, started with bar rows, dead lifts, went to incline db shrugs, db rows, finished up with a few others items in my workout routine. I then attempted to do lat pulldowns but wow my shoulder was sore and worn down from chest day yesterday, didnt’ even finish up a full set. Did 2 sets of middle grip/mid back pull downs and finished with 2 sets on the ab machine.
Not a great workout in the least, but I did make it in and made it though the morning workout. For that I’m happy…

to the gym! After taking an entire week off last week from being sick I dragged my sorry ass into the gym today. I still felt run down, tired and worst of all very, very weak. I was doing only maybe 70% of my normal weights, all and all a shitty work out. I however am pleased, at least I got my ass back into the gym instead of quitting like so many do.
I had cycled off most of my supplements for a few weeks, now I’m slowly starting to retake them. I’m hoping for some big gains this time around, I wont be hitting it heavy for at least 2-3 more weeks, all and all right on schedule.
