Working through boughts of injuries/stress/depression
October 1st, 2009
It isn’t easy but it can be done. The past few months I have had my share of injuries, mainly my lower back, but also my hip and a few other minor ones. I have had tons of stress and yes lots of depression.
I have been doing my best to ‘work through it’ granted I did lose muscle, did gain fat so far during this time ‘but’ surely the sessions in the gym I did get in have helped me keep as much muscle on as possible, while keeping some of the fat off.
Today I went in and did my light chest day which is more of a tricep with a bit of chest thrown in.
For warm up I did 315 x 8 close grip presses, it went up super easy ‘but’ as I have had during this entire time my stamina simply is not there. My next set was 335 for close grips, I believe I only got 4 or 5 with only a 20 pound difference. Granted when working the tri’s this way a few pounds can make the difference, the weight did not appear ‘heavy’ I just didnt’ have the endurance.
I just started up on creatine again and am hopeful it will help with my endurance, sure would like to get some aggression back as that usually helps with lifting, sadly atm I have none.
