Pushing my limits
August 27th, 2006
My chest is finally healed, shoulder is 98% damn near fully healed but I put my lower back out! I continue to hurt myself one way or another, I have brought my workouts down to 5 x a week until I get back into my full workout capabilities. Until I get back to my normal 8 sessions a week I am going to increase my per work out intensity.
Tomorrow I plan on literally destroying my chest, Monday is my favorite workout as it’s chest day. Last week I put 315 up which isn’t anything to write home about, it however is not bad considering how long I was down with my chest injury. I would say my max is minimum 325-350 on the top end at the moment if I pushed it. I hope to bump that back up to 400 or more ASAP! My goal currently is 400 pound bench again by Xmas, I hope to hit it well before then as long as I remain healthy.

How come you blog posts keep disappearing Grim?
Anyway, 400 pounds, pretty heavy!
How much do you weigh now?
Best I did was 180 pounds, a while back now though.
Not done any lifting lately.

@ Denise, thanks for the heads up, I forgot I had my pm’s off.
Working out can be enjoyable if you stick with it, you feel so much better.
@ Bulbboy, I start over and archive my old posts
I weigh roughly 245 now
I gotta cut again.

Grim, take it easy man and stop hurting yourself damnit!
you know the golden rule as well as I do; baby steps after and injury. We both know it’ll happen, because we are the types to ‘make’ it happen, but you just gotta be easy for a few.
good luck with your goal.

@ Edz 400 pounds is 181.436 948 kilograms according to the conversion tool I used. It’s a decent amount of weight, but I’ve done it before and intend to do it again.
@ anon
I hear you, I’m trying to take it slow and steady but man I want to get back to what I once was. I can damn near taste it at times!
